Software for scientific research

This is a list of software that I am currently using for researching a topic, synthesising the information, writing a manuscript, and reviewing a manuscript. These are pretty generic tools with plenty of uses, but I use them to perform my role as a scientist. Papers2 (tool for finding articles, organising them, and creating citations) SuperNotecard (Electronic index card system) Microsoft Office for Mac (Productivity suite) Evernote and Skitch (Electronic clippings and sketching) Docear (mind mapping software)

Edit: I shouldn’t forget EndNote (referencing software).

Edit2: Just discovered Scrivener (writing studio)
